since the whole artist portion of my life has suddenly declared itself free and growing, i thought i might as well write a journal entry about recent events.

it'll give me something to chuckle over later.

well, i haven't done this much drawing since... ever. o.o last night i was drawing ugly hands for hours. but i don't think i've ever sucked quite so bad at it. XD ah well. practice practice pratice.

apparently, i draw a pretty good male body, with the muscles and whatnot, but i can only do a front view and i can't do girls/femme guys... in other words, everything i want to draw. =.=" i'll be going to the library hopefully soon, to get some reference material.

the body is actually proving to be the easiest part. i have yet to learn faces, hands, hair, and clothing (and maybe in the distant future, coloring. o.o...). hands are proving to be impossible, and i'm scared to do faces and hair. clothing shouldn't be too bad...

my friend told me to look up reference and whatnot, so i traversed da in search of great artists... and i found some. yay~

and i went on a binge, because 1) she has flippin' adorable bunnies and 2) she does the same kind of art i hope to do (although i'll make a point not to copy her). my favorite of hers is moment of respite probably because i really really REALLY want to draw sleeping people. they're just so pretty. @.@

that's quite enough rambling from me. wow, loooong entry... if you read all that, kudos to you. you can't get your five minutes back. XD
